The best Pancakes in London
With pancake day approaching, I thought I’d write a post on where to find the best pancakes in London! It is surprisingly hard to make an amazing pancake, and since nobody wants to spend pancake day disappointed or unsatisfied, I have narrowed my list down to the absolute best pancakes which tick all the boxes!
GRANGER & CO
RICOTTA HOTCAKES WITH HONEYCOMB BUTTER AND BANANA
These hotcakes are an absolute classic! Think pillowy pancakes with pockets of creamy ricotta topped with a sweet and salty honeycomb butter, plenty of maple syrup and bananas. I fell in love with these the first time I tried them 5 years ago, and can never resist ordering them when I’m at one of the many Granger & Co branches (Notting Hill, Kings Cross, Clerkenwell and Chelsea)!
STORE STREET ESPRESSO
RHUBARB PANCAKES WITH MAPLE MASCARPONE AND CRUMBLE
Store Street Espresso constantly change their brunch menu and use seasonal ingredients in their amazing pancakes! The flavours and toppings are always delicious and the coffee shop itself has a great atmosphere – it’s a great option if you’re near Kings Cross!
HAMPSTEAD CREPERIE
SPINACH, CHEESE, GARLIC & CREAM CREPE
For the best crepes in London, Hampstead Creperie is the place to go! You’ll probably have to queue as it is one of the most popular stands, but trust me, it is SO worth it! I am addicted to the spinach, cheese, garlic & cream crepe when I’m in the mood for something savoury! I often follow this with the banana and milk chocolate crepe which is pure heaven! There’s no seating but who would complain about eating a delicious crepe whilst wandering around Hampstead!
THE BREAKFAST CLUB
PANCAKES WITH BERRIES, VANILLA CREAM & MAPLE SYRUP
The Breakfast Club is a great option for big groups as there are multiple pancake options to please everyone, and there are lots of branches around London!
