Sticky Sesame Tofu
This is my favourite way to eat tofu - if you’re not a tofu lover, this will convert you! The tofu is pan fried until crispy and then tossed with a sticky and spicy sauce - it is so more-ish!
Sticky Sesame Tofu
Serves: 2
Ingredients
- 1 block of tofu
- Cornflour
- Salt & Pepper
Sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- Knob of ginger, minced
To serve
- Rice
- Sesame seeds
- Spring onion, sliced
Instructions
- Press the tofu between pieces of kitchen paper to remove excess moisture and make it extra crispy.
- Stir together the ingredients for the sauce.
- Cut the tofu into cubes and toss in cornflour, salt & pepper.
- Pan fry the tofu in a generous drizzle of oil on medium-high heat until golden and crispy on all sides.
- Add in the spring onions and sesame seeds, before pouring in the sauce. Toss everything together until the tofu is coated in the sticky sauce.
- Serve with rice and enjoy!
