Pistachio Knafeh Chocolate Bar
Recreating the viral Pistachio Knafeh chocolate bar from Fix Dubai. Honestly this turned out way better than I expected - the filling is so delicious, I ate it by the spoonful!
Pistachio Knafeh Chocolate Bar
Serves: 2
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Kataifi, chopped (use up to 1 cup if you want more crunch)
- Olive oil and butter
- 1 jar of Pistachio butter (170g)
- 1/4 cup Tahini (add less tahini if you want a thicker filling)
- 50g White chocolate (optional for decoration)
- 100g Milk chocolate
- 100g Dark chocolate
- 2 deep chocolate moulds
Instructions
- Melt the milk and dark chocolate together. If using, melt the white chocolate separately and pour some into the chocolate moulds in a swirly pattern. Pop in the freezer to set for 5 mins.
- Pour the melted milk/dark chocolate mixture into the moulds and tilt it so the chocolate covers the sides and bottom evenly (pour away any excess chocolate). Pop in the freezer to set for 10 mins.
- Add a generous amount of olive oil and butter to a pan on medium heat. When sizzling, add the kataifi and fry until golden and crispy (stir occasionally to prevent it burning). Set aside to cool.
- Add the pistachio butter and tahini to a bowl and stir until combined. Add the cooled kataifi and stir.
- Pour the pistachio mixture into the set chocolate moulds (fill them almost to the top).
- Pour over more of the melted milk/dark chocolate until the filling is completely covered. Pop it back in the freezer to set (~20 minutes).
